I was born within the sound of the Bow bells, but I won’t claim to be a cockney. My childhood was spent climbing the trees and walking the hills of the Welsh-English border near Hay-on-Wye. My first business was selling the eggs from our chickens to the local shop. This initial foray into business taught me two things;

• The better you support your team, the better the results.
• Play to your strengths. If you can’t lay eggs, find someone who can.

I’ve worked as both self-employed and employed in many roles across IT, management, and content and digital marketing. Since my first job (self-employed) at the age of 17, I’ve never been out of work; not even for a day.

My current main business is a content marketing company called Impressona.

Around this I’m involved at director level in several other companies, mentoring the up-and-coming stars of the content marketing world, and speaking at events when I get the chance.
